IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL PIERCER OR A PHYSICIAN.

IT IS IMPORTANT TO FOLLOW THESE INSTRUCTIONS. IF YOU HAVE ANY QUESTIONS, CONSULT A PROFESSIONAL PIERCER OR A PHYSICIAN.

All up to date Health and Safety Precautions Have Been Taken To ensure your piercing experience a safe and memorable one. But the utmost important part of a piercing is the aftercare.

All guidelines for piercing aftercare are for general healing purposes only on the majority of the public. Some people take a lot longer to heal and require special products to heal their piercing efficiently. If you think your piercing may be infected “DO NOT TAKE IT OUT” (this will leave a hole open to quicker infection) “DO NOT LISTEN TO ADVISE OF YOUR FRIENDS” (who did not do your piercing, therefore do not know how to heal it better). Consult your local piercer (or a professional piercer in your area), or your family doctor. You family doctor can usually prescribe an antibiotic to specifically suit your needs. Do not bother asking a professional piercer how to take care of your piercing which was done by an ear piercing gun. First, it wasn’t done properly and not done by the piercer so your on your own with that one...

The Best Product for your Piercing is "MAGIC DRAGON MIST SPRAY". It Contains 100% all natural ingredients, and is specifically designed for your piercing. All you have to do is spray it on your piercing 4-6 times a day and follow the rest of these instructions. If you run out of,or cannot get MAGIC DRAGON MIST SPRAY follow the guidelines below.

An all natural healing product and safe for most people is “SEA SALTS” ( you should be able to purchase this at your local pharmacy.

Mix approximately 250 grams of SEA SALTS to 1 liter of warm water. ( mix it throughly). Purchase disposable DIXIE cups and cotton swabs for applying your sea salt solution to your piercing. Fill the Disposable Dixie cup about 3/4 way full with your sea salt solution and hold the dixie cup tight against your piercing to allow the solution to soak through the piercing. Do this for 10-20 minutes at a time and up to 5 times a day. 3 times minium. Piercings that you cannot hold the cup against....use cotton swabs to apply the sea salt solution around your piercing.

Never touch or turn your piercing. Your piercing will form a dry scab around it to help it heal. If you turn your piercing when it is dry you will tear the scab making it have to reheal again, and if your touching your piercing you can infect it.The only time you need to touch your piercing is in the shower. Get hot soapy water beating on your piercing to release the dry scab. Once the water has softened up the scab you may then turn the ring to clean all around it.

On Really Deep, Dark Belly Button piercings, after you have washed and applied your sea salt solution you should get it dry. This is best accomplished by using a small amount of baby powders on it.( Do Not Use A Hairdryer) The purpose of keeping it dry and clean is that bacteria is attracted to dark, moist places. This is usually the number one cause of Belly Button Piercings rejections.

---> For Tongues, Lips, Cheek and Oral Piercings Rince with Original Listerine Antiseptic Mouthwash 5 times a day. Rince With Peroxide 2 times a day. ( Do Not Swallow). Brush Your Teeth And Tongue Piercing With a soft bristle toothbrush up to 5 times a day also. If You Smoke Rince With Water After Every Cigarette. Always Carry A bottle Of Bottled Water with you at all times. Do not play with, remove or have oral sex with your new piercing in until you feel that it is healed. (Which could take 2-6 weeks.) For the First week try avoiding Beer,Milk Products, Spicy Foods, And excessive amounts of salt and sugar. ( if your piercing gets sore after you eat, rinse immediately with water.) Do Not use listerine more than 5 times a day.

With proper post piercing care, infections are rare; should one occur, seek help as soon as possible. WITH AN INFECTED NOSTRIL OR SEPTUM PIERCING, SEEK HELP IMMEDIATELY. AN INFECTION IN THIS AREA CAN BE FATAL. Minor soreness may be experienced when some piercings are new and healing. If the pain continues and the piercing is very sore and/or excessive redness or discharge occurs for an extended period of time, you may have an infection. Do not panic and remove the jewelry before consulting a physician thinking the infection will go away. If an infection is present, removal of the jewelry can cause the passageway for the discharge of infectious secretions to be eliminated. A physician will most likely prescribe an antibiotic for the infection and proceed from there with further treatment.

On rare occasions, a bump may form behind a nipple or upper ear piercing. They are usually benign cysts or severe infections requiring minor surgery. If you notice a lump and it is painful or fails to disappear in a short time, seek help. The hard tissue around a piercing is normal and disappears in time.

Some people assume that at the end of the healing process they can remove their jewelry for a time and reinsert it easily. This is not always the case. For ear, nostril, and septum piercings something should always be left in the piercing at all times for at least 3 months; for all other piercings at least 6 months. Even if healed, some time is required for the piercing to toughen up. If the jewelry is removed prematurely, the delicate inside tissue of the piercing can easily be torn when the jewelry is reinserted. Also, a good thing to do is to keep on hand a bottle of saline solution, the kind used for cleaning contact lenses. This can be used to cleanse the piercing when a sink is not available.
